Hi all currently have an i5 9600KF Socket 1151 with an Z390 Aorus elite motherboard and i am going to upgrade the CPU/MB/RAM but have a question about the cpu cooling block that i currently have and wonder if it will still work with the new CPU that i am going to get.
So if i got an i7 13700KF ( Raptor Lake ) would i be able to use my current cpu waterblock on it , the waterblock is :https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ek-w...able-rgb-cpu-water-block-nicke-wc-9pf-ek.html

Looking at the product page. The supporting list appears to be based on the motherboard rather than the CPU.

LGA1700 needs a new block
Thanks this is what i feared :) , however ive just been looking on the WWW googling for a LGA1700 Block when this came up "Corsair Hydro X Series, XC5 RGB PRO Black, CPU Water Block, 1700/1200/115X, " , is that a typo error do u recon that it says it does the 115X series of CPU plus also does the 1700 CPU's as well ?

A new kit can be designed for multiple sockets, or have fittings kits that can cover them. The block you have lists most sockets except LGA1700. The EK blocks that would fit seem to have 1700 in the name.
