In my laptop I have an Intel Pentium M 750 which is apparently 1.86GHz but looking at the 'clocks' part of the window it says it's running at just under 800MHz. Bus speed is 133mhz and multiplier is x6 which would put it at 800... Any ideas? Surely it shouldn't be like this? I haven't noticed any problems with gaming so I don't know if it's just a problem with CPU-Z...

It's probably got SpeedStep running, especially since it's a laptop. It should shoot up to normal speed when it needs to.

Could well be down to the clock speed being automatically lowered when there's little activity. Very common on laptops.

:) plug it into the power adapter and watch the speed jump, then unplug it and watch it fall again. Like everyone said, its just SpeedStepping to save power, when you need it it will speed back up :)
