Any idea why CPU-Z would show my memory (max bandwidth) as PC2 6400, when it's PC2 8500!?!

Here's a link to a screenshot: Link

is PC2 8500 supported by your mobo?

as im sure it would only read 6400 if thats all your momo supports

have you tryed anyother diag tools?

Mobo supports up to DDR2 1066. All it says it that if i install 1066, i have to change DRAM Frequency in BIOS to 1066, which i've done.

I'm assuming DDR2 1066 and PC2 8500 are the same thing? The manual doesn't refer to PC2 at all!?!

No i haven't tried any other diag tools. Do you have one in mind?

Cheers

A lot of PC8500 shows up as PC6400. That's mainly because PC8500 is just good overclocking PC6400.

The SPD table lists the timings for PC8500 (533x2 = 1066) anyway.

Since you have set everything up in BIOS, you have nothing to worry about.

And the Memory tab of CPU-Z is the one you should be paying attention to.
