Hi

I have just bought an E6600 but I'm getting strange reading from the latest version of CPU-Z?

cpu = E6600 @ 2.40GHZ which is fine.

but:

Multiplier x6 ?
fsb 266mhz
1600ghz ?

I have definitely got 9x 266 set in the bios so I don't understand why it comes up with that. When I use an old version of CPU-Z it comes up with my chip being a Pentium-M (understandable as this version does not support Due Core2) all of the stats are correct eg 266 x 9 = 2400ghz.

Anyone else have a problem with the latest CPU-Z? I'm using a Gigabyte GA 965P DS3.

Cheers.

Hi,

I'm pretty sure I have all power saving off but I'll check tonight.

If this is the case then why does the old version come up ok?
