I have a C2D 4300 and CPU-Z is saying my processor is running @ 1200mhz 6X200 but TAT is saying 1800Mhz on both cores @ 47c. Whats the correct one?
I have an gigabyte ds3R board.

Speedstep, power saving mode of the processor, means that the multiplier goes down when not under load. Dissable Eist in the bios and set the multi manual 9.

It's a question that's asked many many times as it confuses an awful lot of ppl.

I might have this problem too
(see sig for set up)

CPU-z says 6x when ive set it to 8x350

however the CPU-Z seams to lock my system up every time I use it.
could it me clashing with uGuru ?

Yeah there's reports that they are conflicting on the IP35 Pro.

Apparently it only happens when a certain one is opened first. If you usually open one first, try opening the other first and see if it still crashes.

thanks

the uguru was auto loading then I open cpu-z for a free comp freeze every time :)

closed uguru and No problem

How do you get CPU-z to show the 4 core temperatures?
