i have my multiplyer set to x9,my fsb set to 333,wich should be giving me 3GHz,But,CPU-z is showing 1.6Ghz,when i right click my computer and select properties, its showing 2.4.

anyone know why this is happening?

what does your bus speed and multiplier say in cpu-z?

because 1.6ghz seems to me like an fsb of 266 with a multiplier of 6

speed step is still on, as far as im aware, only c1e and e1st as i said in the other thread need to be turned off in the bios to keep the multiplier from moving about. look up intel speedstep for a more detailed explanation

ok i have turned off the c1e and e1st and im now @ 2.4 again, but multiplier is set to x9,with a bus speed of 266,when in bios its set to 333
