CPU-Z showing single channel mem (Aorus Master Z390 build)

As per the title, I have just finished installing windows and CPU-Z is telling me I have all 16GB of ram (2x8gb) in single channel - any ideas why / how to fix this?

I have the 2 x 8gb both on the far left, and the 2 x demo sticks on the far right.

Looking at the manual you should have 1 stick in slot 1 (closest to the cpu) and the other in slot 3.

This will utilise both channels.

Also Ctrl+Alt+Del to go to the task manager, and go to performance -> memory tab.

In my case, when CPU-Z tells me I'm in single channel, Windows shows a mem stick's worth of 'hardware reserved' in the task manager.

My fix is to simply restart until dual channel is reported in CPU-Z (which is about 66-75% of the time). No idea on a permanent fix.

You're dropping a channel due to memory instability. Try increasing VCCSA.

My apologies, I've been away and only just seen this. I will certainly look into that. Many thanks for the suggestion.
