I'm running an E8500 on a Asus Maximus Formula mobo.
I've overclocked it but in cpu-z the readings are 2304 for core speed and multiplier is reading x 6.0
Bus speed is 384.0 mhz
Rated FSB is 1536.0
Why is it saying that??
It's the same in everest.
I've looked in the bios for multiplier settings but can't find anything.
Is the multiplier auto set to 9.5?
If so, then why is it showing x 6.0 ??
Bio is Motherboard ID 65-0907-000001-00101111-121407-Bearlake$A0875002_BIOS DATE: 12/14/07 14:59:22 VER: 08.00.12

Where have I gone wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Speirs.

as Cob said, I use Super Pi program (small application free to download online that computers the number Pi) to stress the cpu while I look in cpuz to make sure the cpu is at full speed.
