cpu-z ?????

hi, just put in a new m.b. Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L Intel P35, and over clocked my e4300 to 2.8ghz,, multiplier x 9 ,, fsb around 320. this is confirmed in the bios and in windows syst information but cpu-z say it running at 1.9.ghz with the multiplier at x6, i re-installed cpu-z but still the same, any ideas ?

Hi There,

It sounds like you might have EIST & C1e enabled in your BIOS options, They ruduce the clock speed and voltage when the CPU isn't under heavy load.

Try turning them off and trying CPU-z again.
 
Also known as Speedstep.

If you put a load on the cpu (Such as Orthos / prime 95 / 3dmark) you will see the multi jump back up to 9x.
