Hi,

What exactly is this? I was in my BIOS earlier and noticed that you don't need the CPUID limit enabled in XP.

By default on my motherboard it's set to enabled (CPUID Limit: Enabled).

What will change if I disable the limit?

Craig.

Assuming you're not trying to run an old O/S like Windows 95/98/ME on a new processor with HTT, then you should leave it DISABLED.

When enabled it basically allows you to run a modern processor (Pentium 4) with hyper threading technology on an operating system that doesn't support htt.

Hope that helps :)
