CPUZ and coretemp not reporting overclock

As I'm not sure how to go about overclocking my 2500k in the bios (I used to have it overclocked) I used AI suite again to overclock my 2500k, AI suite says it's overclocked to 4.5 and idles at 1.6 however CPUz and coretemp always reports 3.4, is the overclock in place on my system?

stress the cpu a little in prime95

you'll find it will shoot to 4.5ghz while stressed and then enter idle mode when not stressed or just web browsing ect

try bios overclocking,asus ai suite is pants and will overvolt the cpu

here's my very own guide for that board just enter your own rams speed/timings
