CPUZ Benchmark (all welcome)

Nah no slush, just the pumps innards freezing up, cheap components that's all.
That will be it for me now until the KS variant becomes available or unless I have a dabble with LN2 again which I doubt but I will say never say never

I just moved the computer back inside. But at least now I am ready to go if we get a cold snap and it looks like I will get another chance later this week:)

I can put the heatkiller IV back on but it's really annoying because Im out of thermal paste at the moment. Besides the micro channels are too small and make the block very restrictive, thereby inhibiting performance to some extent.

Id love to see the numbers that bad boy puts up... I could do some Rome runs on a 64/128 thread but it's not my kit :p It also runs at about 2.5ghz :cry:

Brothers in arms lad, us on our 10 series chips. :D
Been getting tempted to pull the trigger on Alder Lake, but look at the bloody price! Maybe i need to wait for the 12850K, LOL.

My basket at OcUK:
Total: £1,409.42 (includes delivery: £10.50)

I was exactly the same.

Was thinking about a 12700K to treat myself, checked the prices of motherboards and they're about as much as the chip itself! Never mind the price of DDR5 too. The 10900K i've purchased second hand is a massive step up for me anyway, coming from a 4930K. Don't regret my purchase at all.

Probably slush in the lines... As for me, no go on matching your MHz result at the moment. I did get to 5.7GHz but it crashes half way through the benchmark. So I think it's most likely due to the ambient temps here right now and the el cheapo waterblock which I picked up just for kicks. That combination is not letting get any higher than 5.7GHz.

Just wanted to let you know I am waiting on a new waterblock and proper thermal paste, when those arrive, I will give it another go.

The problem is not flow, I have 3 pumps in total so that is not a factor here yet she's still running a little hot, and the only other thing that changed was the application of a substitute for thermal paste, so that's probably the culprit.

Ryzen 5600X. PBO -30 All core Curve, +200 Boost, 100 EDC limit. DDR 2x8 3200C14. Asrock X470 ITX. Cryorig C7 air cooler. Pretty tough to get a good result on this setup. either too week a motherboard or weedy cpu cooling. Setup outside of the case with 2x200mm fans blowing down. Running DDR4000C16 doesn't help as the benchmark is not sensitive to memory giving me a slightly lower score maybe due to heat generated by higher soc voltage.

Single = 666.1
Multi = 5203.4

Ryzen 5950X. Final upload of result using Dynamic OC 1.4v 4800 ccx0 / 4600 ccx1 plus PBO -30 All core curve, +50boost. I tried up to 1.43v and 4650 on ccx1 but all I ended up doing was lowering the final result. I suspect I was hitting a thermal limit. Corsair 280mm AIO 4x140ML push/pull.

Single =710.8
Multi = 13853.6

That's a good point - I've heard some YouTubers say running memory and PCIe at slower speeds can give the cores more energy to work with, and sometimes achieve higher scores in benchmarks which fit in cache - but I've never seen any conclusive test of that.

Ooooo. I'm not sure which of those will be quicker.

I think you should buy both, run some tests, and report back.
(Get your boss to sign off the purchase because you need to process some "big data")
Lol. Slower single thread speed than my comet lake .... shed load of cores for £7k though?
