Overclocking my OPTY 165.
Regardless of what I set in the bios cpuz, everest and windows still recognize the CPU as stock. Bios does see it correctly.

Duh?! ASUS A8N-E with the latest bios. Latest CPUz etc.

Why is it doing this to me?

Not sure what to think really.
I get random CMOS checksum errors when booting. System reverts back to default bios 1006. Perhaps it doesnt even save. Duff mobo?

 :(

I cracked it!
Floopy support has to be enabled on the A8N-E. Disabling it seriously cripples the board for some reason.
I know run 280x9 stock volts no problems. CPUZ now recognizes the bios settings correctly.

time for some testing and see how high I can go :)
