CPUz frequency figures don't match XP

Hi

I have a e4300 at stock. If I right click on my computer and look at the general tab, it says that there is a intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 4300 @ 1.8GHz

When I run CPUz is state

Clocks (Core#0)
core speed 1202.8Mhz
Multiplier x 6.0
Bus speed 200.5Mhz
Rated FSB 801.9

Why does CPUz say my cpu is running at 1200Mhz?

Speedstep lowers the cpu multi and voltage when idle and ups them to normal multi and voltage when needed.

One more thing about cpuz

The core voltage seems to be fluctuating between

1.120
1.168
1.184
1.2
1.216
1.280

is this normal too?

if its the new version of cpu z i had the same problem, even though speedstep is disabled.

Use version 1.38 and it will tell you if the multi is locked or not.

Also my computer doesn't actually test the clock speed of the chip, it just reads the chips name and default speed and prints that.
