My bios says 3.5 on a i7-4770k and so does mycomputer properties, however when running latest portable and installed cpuz it says about 3.9Ghz and Sandra says 3.9 as well are these bits of software giving me turbo reading or is something a miss here, i did try Asus AISuite 3 to overclock it but took it out but seems it wont go back down to stock, i have reset bios. loaded defaults, even took the cr2032 out for 24 hours, unplugged from mains and even formatted the OS drive and ran from scratch but seems i can't get stock back

here is the image link to cpuz

Hi mate,

Can't see your cpuz pic so need that to see.

4770k processors are 3.5ghz stock, but 3.9ghz turbo when your doing intensive tasks. Sometimes these program's don't record them properly. I myself find my 4670k ramped up to its full clock using same program. But if you look at the voltage input it's quite a bit lower like 0.93v which would suggest it's not anywhere near full clock speed and the eist is working. Just a CPUZ bug I guess.

But re add your pic and we'll have a look.
