Crackdown Volk and Shai-gen gangs?

Howdy,

I borrowed Crackdown of a friend the other day and I haven't put it down since, I think it is [bleeping] awesome game... one of the best games I have played in a long time!

Anyway, I have taken out all the Los Muertos gang and cleaned that area up, now all that is left if the Volk and Shai-gen! but I am finding any gang boss on these two gangs extremely hard! I cannot seem to even take one out without getting blown to shreads!

Do I need to max out anything in particular to take these out easier? I am maxed on agility (damn I love jump at these heights

) but I am wondering if maxing out my strength might help things?

Any advice you can give will be appreciated (especially from those who have taken these guys out already)?

hey, i got crackdown a couple of weeks ago and been on it quite a while now... i would advise to get your strength high as this helped me a lot. especcially with the gang bosses as when they have 3-5 life bars as kicking the **** out of them it a great way to make sure they dont fight back.

the only thing i dont like about the game is the car handling... im only 1* at the min so it may get better but i dont think they handle very well at all.

I recommend getting the "Firefly" rocket launcher (Shai-Gen iirc) as it's the best weapon in the game.

Spamming these and grenades (esp with high explosives rank) will make short work of ANY boss.

Get a car and run gang members over to get up your driving then when it's at a better level do the races and before long it'll be 4 and maxed

the only thing i found was after a while ,as boss area's and the number of guys around them increased you tend to get drawn into sniping everyone and making your way closer and closer. i didn't even notice/care about sniping stuff and targeting headshots, its a pain at long range and takes time till you get your shooting skill to max. but thats always one way, kicking most bosses gets them down very quickly once its at 4*'s.

some compounds are massive and have a fairly spread out gang, some are fairly dense and have massive numbers which makes it more difficult which is where standing far back and sniping does a lot of good.

there are some bases that are simply hard till you take out other bits, for instance if you take out the gun base, or the car base then the next guys will have less of the rockets and nades and stuff, and less backup will drive over while you take on a base. taking them in the right order makes a huge difference.

i really enjoyed crackdown despite really, a very basic gameplay, its just plain fun and took a long time to get bored with it. everyone likes to jump over buildings
