Evening,

Ok, my flipping kid just whacked a Christmas decoration against the tv, it turned itself off and now when it starts it just shows a couple of white lines and then turns off again. On closer inspection it has a 2 inch crack. What are my options? It has a 6yr guarantee with Richer Sounds, but would imagine it wouldn't cover accidental damage (I'm trying to google, but no mention so far). Also, I'm still in a bit of rage period!
In the event of having to bite the bullet and buy new, any good deals? It's a LG 55 C1

Won't cover accidental damage. Only John Lewis offers that with protect plus.

The 55CS6LA is around £800 at the moment.

These are the very reasons you have home contents insurance with accidental cover, kids, especially younger ones, break stuff all the time.
I do have accidental cover, just never claimed anything before. Should really take advantage of the fact I pay insurance.
Problem is, I need one asap, so would rather just buy now and claim later (if that's even an option?)

Can I ask where? I've seen for £899 at richer, but have to visit store.

Should be able to get Richer sounds or John Lewis to price match.

Cheers for that. The deal had ended, but managed to pick it up for £899, all up and running.
Now I need to sort a claim out

Deal still works fine. Just tried on the prcdirect link and applies fine. Other is now out of stock. Could try get some cash back still from who ever you bought from :)

Feel your pain. Mine broke a brand new TV 2 months into ownership. Home insurance jobbie although £200 excess stung

Learnt my lesson and i took out accidental protection on the next TV. John Lewis offer this which also covers burn in on oleds
