Crackles when keys are pressed

I am hearing some short crackles in my music once for every two or so presses of keys.
Does anyone have any idea as to the cause?

IS the KB connected by USB or PS2 ?

I would have thought the issue was USB, but do you have a LATENCY setting in your Mobos Bios for the PCI slots, so you can adjust the Soundcard.

I have "PCI Latency Timer" : 32, 64*, 96 .. 248

Ok you will need try them, normally 32 and 64 is suffice.

This also used to solve peeps X-FI issues.

Well it was on 64 and so i popped it up to 128. Ill see if it helps.
