Hey guys, so I got this new build:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 550.5 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard: MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-5200 CL40 Memory
Storage: Crucial P3 Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
Storage: Crucial BX500 2 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Video Card: MSI GAMING TRIO OC GeForce RTX 5080 16 GB Video Card
Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair RM1000e (2026) 1000 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
And I've noticed that when I change game settings or sometimes load into a game that my PC makes a clicking noise:
YouTube video
The example video is me changing the render scaling settings on Monster Hunter Wilds, doesn’t matter if it’s lowering or increasing settings.
I'm unsure what this noise is and I am a little worried, it actually doesn't make the game when playing games (except times when loading into a game) any idea what this could be? I don't want it frying on me, I can’t smell any type of burning. could this be PSU coil, it doesn’t sound like how one normally would? The same clicking can be heard when switching the PC on and Off but only a single click. I plan to RMA to get a replacement but just want to know what’s happening here to avoid it in the future.
