Crankshaft sensor

Any ideas on where i would find a new crankshaft sensor? Tried a few breakers in my area and good ol Halfords but no one has anything.

What sort of place would sell them?

most sensors are made by the same firm, possibily lucas or bosh, see if there are any seriel numbers on the old unit and go to your local motor trade factors place and see if they can match it up that way.... youll pay a lot less for the same unit that has vw stamped on it
