Crap 3dMark score for GX2

i recently bought an evga 9800GX2. I have it running with 4gb team elite on vista ultimate 64.

I Ran 3d mark 96, latest version and only scored 12234, that surely isnt right as i scored more with a single gtx ?

can people post there scores with cpu at stock and there GX2s at stock to and let me no what ya get ?

What's your cpu and the speed it's at?

3dmark06 @ default is affected very much by the cpu .

Also there is a score component that is CPU only which would also affect the results.

yeah...3dmark06 is heavy CPU dependent. If you don't have a fast CPU then your score wont be very high and most likely it can be lower than a single card. SLi needs a fast CPU.

As above, 3dmark is heavily slanted to cpu.

I went from a 8800 GTS 320mb to a hevily overclocked 8800 GTS 512Mb (as per sig) yet my 3dmark score only went up 1000 points to 11,000.

However, my game performance shot up and both average and minimum framerates.

Yup!

And of course quads effect the score quite a lot too!

My e8500 @ 3.8 only returns 16780 in 3DMark06 With a quad at this speed i'd probably end up getting a couple of thousand more.

My GX2's at stock BTW.
