Simply because of that statement I would suggest you dont get a virus on a machine

I'll take that as a yes I did wonder.. but then i thought if all the other compueters are protected etc, wouldnt be much of a problem

Anyway... if it wasnt connected to the network.. how would i get viruses onto it?

You could set up a DMZ on your network and put the machine you wanna get infected in to that I suppose.
