Just a quick question...

Was it always this unforgivingly hard or has my 90's platformer playing brain section withered away and died? :eek:

The first game is fairly difficult but 2 and 3 are much easier. Crash 1 isn't too difficult if you aren't going for gems.

Yes they used to be a lot harder, games are designed for morons these days.

Well I completed 2&3 when I was younger, thought i'd get the first done so got it on PSN, but it's making a bit of a fool of me tbh.

Just didn't remember other platformers being quite this brutal.

I always found the original Crash quite hard, never completed it

The first was more difficult (lot more precision involved). I remember some years ago grabbing Crash Twinsanity on the original Xbox and found that a bit of a difficult game. But now we have games like I Wanna be the Guy: Gaiden, designed to crush you

Crash 1 is fairly difficult, especially on the latter stages. It mainly comes down to timing though. Some of the side scrolling levels early on are a lesson in patience and perfectly timed moves. Get one wrong and you are dead.

Still play the 1st one regularly on my Vita though.

But it's true though, I started playing it again one day and couldn't believe how hard it was haha. Then you learn how to play and its easy enough.

I played 2 a few weeks ago. I was terrible at it.

When they first came out I completely all 3 and I don't remember having too much trouble. The easy games of nowadays have ruined me.

Only way I'd get excited about a new Crash game is if they got the original Naughty Dog team together, locked them in a room with a bagload of money and told them to make their masterpiece.

But I can't see that happening.

Well I remember completing 2&3 when younger and I still think I'd have a good chance of doing it again. I would buy them on PSN and give them another go but it would mean going out and buying a couple of PSN vouchers - no way am I giving Sony my card details again!

I just can't believe how hard Crash 1 is. I just didn't remember it being this hard but then some have told me it was significantly harder than the others.

Why has the crash series died? Legal reasons or just no desire in the market?
