Yeah ano crashes happen all the time but this one i really do not know how the people in the car survived.
They closed the road off for a good few hours so unfortunately for us we was stuck at the office for a good few hours so decided to have a good nosey.
Only had my work phone on me at time and its not to good with the camera:
Pictures do it no justice, the front end of the car was completely flattened with the engine being all over the road.
Whats happened the pillock driving the car was doing 70mph down a 40 road and lost control bumped into the pavement which as threw him back out over the centre road pavement and into oncoming traffic and straight into the van. The passenger of the car wasn't wearing his seat belt so he flung out of the passenger door and ended up under the vans back drivers side wheel, Steve (who i work for) managed to get him from under the wheel.
The vans windscreen had 2 headbutt smashes in the screen, so doubt the van driver and passenger was wearing there seatbelt either.
The police officer said, if the passenger of the car was wearing his seat belt he would most likely be dead now as that side of the car had all buckled in, so he was lucky in a way that he wasn't wearing his seat belt and that he got flung from the car.
Thought i would share this story with the motors lot and to anyone who was curious to know what had happened if they got diverted on there travels in sheff.
