Crash this morning

I was on the main road and the car coming out the left side road edged out a little and stopped, so I assumed he seen me and was waiting.

Then as I got really close he was looking left and just pulled out, I had about half a second before impact.

I crushed my chest into tank and then me and bike fell over, Police, firetruck and ambulance turned up.

I was taken to hospital as I have very bad neck and spine pain.

Not what you need on a Friday

Bike being collected now and I gave the police my dashcam footage.
I need to sort the insurance side of things later today.

I called my insurance it was really easy going over everything and my bike being collected Tuesday and a courtesy bike dropped off at the same time.

I am out of hospital now and just healing my wounds.

Hopefully I will be back to work Wednesday if I am feeling up to it.

I am not sure, they look okay but the dash has pushed upwards out of the fairing a little so it could damaged :(

My father inlaw had a trailer so he picked up the bike so it was no in another town for days.
 
Luckily I had a GoPro but the police have that at the moment.

But he's the top view of what happened so I am sure he will be 100% at fault.

I am having physical therapy for whiplash in my neck, shoulder and back. My left foot got crushed by the bike when I fell over.

The bike damage does not appear to be too bad so hopefully, they can repair it.
Should I make a claim for my helmet, jacket and boots? They only got a bit scuffed when I fell off the bike.

A little update the third party wants to pay for my bike as it was written off but it says the payment without prejudice.

My understanding is this not them admitting fault but to pay for the bike to stop the bike hire and storage costs.

What I don't understand is would taking this payment affect my separate injury claim.

Trying to get information out of 4th Dimension(my bike claim team) like getting blood out of a stone, but I will call them and the solicitors tomorrow.

Thank you all, I talked with someone else at 4th dimension and my solicitors and they both said what you guys are saying.

Both are separate claims and my injury claim is still being processed it is just a final settle for the bike cost only which I am happy with.
I am sill waiting to get hold of the police officer whose helmet cam SD card but once I have it I can then prove who is at fault 100%.

Now I need to hunt for another bike :D

Well I have always liked adventure-style bikes, and I know 300CC is not much but I am only commuting a short distance.
