Just wondering. After thinking my PSU was on its way out (it maybe still is) But my pc was turning off randomly. But after it getting more common i noticed its usually just after i fire up MSN. Is that likely ? Computer does not reboot or anything, just goes dead.

By goes dead, do you mean the power just goes off?

Could be your CPU overheating, might be worth just checking that there is no dust in the heat sink blocking the airflow. Might we worth reapplying the thermal paste.

Its got one of them huge sp97 coolers and a big fan. Really couldnt be bothered having to lift the mother board out and all just to resit that stupid thing. Besides...once it powers off by its self and i power it back up it can stay up a good while before falling over again
