Im in the process of installing my components onto a gigabyte ga-965p-ds4 and i can't get it passed the loading screen for windows 7 before it boots up. I have just flashed it (it was a good flash and these crashes were happening before, i needed to flash so i could install my e8400).

So theres probably a really simple explanation to this, does anyone know it :p?

thanks for your time! matt.

had a very similar issue when installing vista way back when on my 775 board, are you using 4 sticks of ram? if so make sure that they are getting the right voltage, normally 2.1v depending on the memory.

Thats what caused the issue for me.

had a go at increasing the voltage 0.1v (i think my ram is supposed to have 1.9v), that didn't work. I also tried changing the timings but still no luck, this is really annoying as i just cant figure it out.. thanks for your help

also, im only using 2 sticks of corsair xms2 800mhz

okay so, stupidly i didn't seat one of the ram sticks in the bank properly. I pushed it in properly and it loads a little further then i hit a BSOD, even only with one stick in.
