Crashing, any clues?

PC starts fine, but gets slower and slower, then bam, pixelated multi-color screen, then no signal. What is causing this?

- Tried spare monitor, same happens.
- Not overclocked.
- Vista 64bit, system been fine for over 6 months.
- CPU not overclocked, temperature normal.

Do you have a spare graphic card to test it with? That would be my first guess. Checked the gpu temps?

Aye, graphical corruption is usually down to the graphics card.

You could try underclocking it to see if the problem goes away. Not a permanent solution though.

Its a BFG 8800GTX, never been overclocked.
