Ok, the last two patches have caused me a few problems in BF4, i cant determine for sure if its the game, drivers or the card itself, sometimes it crashes to a blank screen and i have to alt/crtl/del to get back to desktop where there maybe and error msg or nothing at all, when i do get an error more often than not its a direct x msg like this

Any ideas where to start trouble shooting this problem only its getting me down now and to the point i want to sell up and get a ps4

Common crash. I don;t get this one so much in BF4 anymore but have done and get it all the time in NFS most wanted

Everything else rock solid

Is this only a problem for NVIDIA users? I've never seen this in all my time playing BF4 (though I haven't played since the most recent patch).

Its only been since the last two recent patches, not had any crashes before this other than with in the first 4 to 6 weeks after release, its like two steps forward and then steps back, its a nightmare, will try and install direct X if i can

origin does not install dx11 properly go into your origin games folder then bf4 and click the dx11 exe. it sorted my stuttering and crashing probs.

Taz are you overclocking or have you altered the page file size?

Yes mate i was, and that seems to be the problem, no idea why but played for hours at stock and no problems, soon as i added 50Mhz it crashes :(

I got this when I overclocked my card too far. Reduced it a bit and the crash went away

Yep seem to be my problem too, strange tho as its not happened before, but least i know what it is now :)

Thank for the help everyone.

Just an update for anyone that maybe interested, after suffering another few crashes i rolled back to 332.21 WHQL drivers, i suffered another crash and kinda run out of ideas

So i went into properties on the BF4 icon, and and ticked the "run this in compatibility mode for windows" then ticked "disable visual themes" and also ticked "run as administrator" so far not one crash dare i say it, i played 12 hours solid last night from 8pm to 8am and not a sniff :)
