Indeed, the same thing happened when they did this for 'World of Goo', lots of people posting about how pleased with themselves they were for buying it for 0.01.
Congratulations, you may aswell have just torrented it and saved them the bandwidth/paypal costs.

I'm not a pirate though. If i do that i will be breaking the law and face prosecution. If the company expected me to pay a certain minimum to cover their costs then they would set a minimum wouldn't they!

To simply download a game, you won't be subject to facing prosecution.

It's a civil matter, not really "law" you can only be "done" for uploading materials.

Not technically a pirate but the fact remains you will have done more harm to the developer than just torrenting the game would have done I'm well aware they are prepared for people to do this but it doesn't change facts
