The gpu usage on my 290 as seen here is just crazy.

This was from ingame on WoW.

Coming from an 670 which always had 99% usage this does seem odd.

The gpu clock seems to change a lot more aswell.

I mean, from the tests I've done on CSGO and WoW. My fps is seriously lower on the 290 than it was on the 670.

I got no idea what might be happening or if its even a problem. But yeah, low fps is baad :rolleyes:

Afterburner cant read GPU usage properly on 290/ 290x's. Same with mine. On most games it goes up and down, but I am getting high GPU usage. I read its not afterburner that has the problem, but something to do with the drivers. Maybe try running a benchmark in heaven or something to see if your are getting the right performance. Is the idle gpu usage normal?

Nvidia does tend to be faster in Wow but I would be surprised if the 290 wasn't faster.
 
Its a bug within the AMD driver. Those are the values it reports to afterburner. However it does not affect performance, so just ignore it until it gets fixed.
