Hi guys not sure why but recently i have been getting stupidly high system temps in my case? even with radiators off and comp pretty much idle. I have 2 Thermaltake Thunderblades 120mm (1 intake, 1 exhaust) which needless to say push a hell of a lot of air, i also have a panaflo m1A on my tt big typhoon. Now upon cold boot my cpu temps are 32 and system 34 which are about usual, then after about 10-20mins of just general msn and net use cpu temps are now at a fine 35c and system 44c? and after gaming system temps go up to and occasionaly above 50c! they never used to get this high and i can't see what's changed

Dust and carp on the sensor perhaps?

Dodgy sensor altogether?

Northbridge cooling up the spout?

Any of those a possibility?

Do you have a dust filter on your case?
This could be blocked with dust and restricting the airflow.

Are both fans running? You could try cleaning the blades of the fan as a dirty fan will reduce its effectiveness.

Your temps are the wrong way round and are totally fine.

i don't think my temps are the other way around tbh, as my cpu has never run that hot before, and i can't see why it would suddenly start running that hot with only 1.45v. i'm pretty sure it's my system temp and it could well be that my fans are a little bit dirty

Your temps ARE the wrong way round as your CPU can't run cooler than it's surroundings on air. Use a probe to find out exact temperatures.

Northbridge temperature is not the air temp inside the case as a lot of people seem to have a problem understanding. ;) :p

in that case my cpu is running close to 50degrees then? this is very strange as it's never been like that before, think i might be getting some bad contact on the cpu?

Could be, but 50 under load is hardly high !

Im confused... u say its never been like that before but wernt u looking at the wrong temps anyway?

50 isnt too bad, ive had mine up to 56 on a warm day

It is getting warmer and room temps make a big difference!

think i may have figured out y it was higher than the norm, i have a panaflo m1a it was running of the motherboard just used a 3pin-molex adapter and temps are now running a lot lower 38c cpu load (during prime) and system of 36c load! happy days :D

PLEASE EXCUSE ME NUBINESS
