the other day i thought of something which may be awsome but i have no idea if it will work, if i had a small freezer and i placed 2 rads in there and drilled holes for the tubing to go in then out, and if i fully sealed them holes, will this work, one thing to consider will be the fluid in the rads freezing when the pc is turned off but will antifreeze in the cooling fluid work ?

lol OH MY GOD! that is crazy... i too want to know if this would work, very curious indeed. :D

if it did work, i wonder what cpu temperatures you'd get :D

No it wont work. Ive seen it discussed so many times. It simply wont be able to dissipate the heat and will eventually become overwhelmed.

It may work for bench runs it you cool it down as much as possible with just the pump running then start the pc up and bench.

Would be horridly inefficent long term

:(

I can just see a Chest Freezer Pc build.. But imagine having to stop gaming to pull out a bag of peas :)

hahahaahah :D LMAO

A friend of mine did this with a mini freezer, but instead of radiators just used copper tubing inside the freezer. Apparently it works quite well.

thats a smart idea, i guess you wont have to pay for a rad

i too taught about this before... only with a little can fridge though, i got a fridge of a cousin a few years back, its still sitting under the stairs, i never got around to trying it out, it wouldn't freeze up, but only chill, also talked about an outside rad..but was worried about condensation problems. i suspect both fridge and outside rad could give long them problems. but i would love to try them out.

as with a freezer, wow maybe a bit to far. you could try Ln...or something like a little devils v10 Phase Change sub-zero cooling, at crazy money!

try it and do a project log :D

Fridges and freezers aren't designed to cope with having a constant heat source - you will break the fridge/freezer quite quickly.

guess its true, all the ice will be melting once you turn the pc on :)

Huge external reservoir, ice maker sat above said res feeding ice cubes constantly into the res. :D Only you've have to have an overflow system as the ice cubes melted and introduced more water into the system... but then that water could be fed back into the icmaker to make more ice cubes :p

even better idea :D
