having a little arty moment - I was wondering if I could build my PC "on the wall" in front of my desk to showing all the bits and bobs etc . . .

Mount the motherboard on the wall - then attach the HDD's as well next to it - put the CD ROM drve on the desk with an eSata - hide the PSU it would look cool?!?!?!?

What about coling - would that be a real pain in the ar5e?

Like I said - just a MAD MOMENT - I am pretty sain really

Yes its perfectly possible, not sure if it would look cool though. Oh and you would need some long power molex cables

It would look rubbish, but yeah it's been done before.

The problem you'll likely have is with things like the GFX card, which can be quite heavy, and with no case to support them, you'll snap off the PCI-X connector, so you' have to do quite a lot of work to make it all stable.
