"The most amazing is that this machine just costed as a better standard PC, but has 24 cores that run each at 2.4 Ghz, a total of 48GB ram, and just need 400W of power!! This means that it hardly gets warm, and make less noise then my desktop pc."

CPU £150 x 6
Mobo £50 x 6
Ram £50 x 12
PSU £30 x6
HD £25 x 6 (at a guess)

£2130 is slightly more than most builds tbh... had he used 4 chips with better motherboards he could have had 16 cores each at 3.6ghz, the same total ghz and saved about £410 (allowing £100 per motherboard).

how much is the 1gb network connection a limiting factor would you say? or would that only be a slow down at the start and end of the job?

you dont seem to understand the point in the thing, its multiple pcs built inside a cabinet.
for render jobs. Each will do a batch of the render.

It would be crap for playing games due to the fact theres no decent GPU.
Latency would be a problem too since they all communicate over ethernet.

over 2K is over twice as much as the average build =/

He could have done it cheaper like, and Id like to see it running at 400w at full load.
