I am looking to set up 1 wireless network through my house with 3 Draytek AP900s. The house is hard wired with cat5 in each room going to main switch but I need a good Wireless network for Nest devices, Wemo Switches, tablets, CCTV etc.

At present the APs are all set up as Access Points. I'd like all devices to be on the same 1 wireless network as I am having problems with nest alarms taking together as some are on different wireless network.

The other options are:
Station-Infrastructure
AP Bridge Point to Point
AP Bridge Point to Multi Point
AP Bridge WDS
Universal Repeater

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Are all the AP cabled back to the switch? If so then leave them in normal AP mode, and set the same SSID on all access points, Devices "should" then just connect to the strongest signal. The defaults should enable everything to talk to each other, the only things that would cause issues would be if VLANs were set up, or Wireless Client Isolation mode or similar was turned on.

If the AP aren't cabled back to a switch, then you would need WDS or Universal repeater mode, to get the APs to connect to each other, whilst still allowing clients to connect.
