I have a network up and running with about 20users. I want to backup hard disks that i recieve over the network. But i want to create a subnet so i dont slow down the current network that is used by the users.
I'm going to use the faxserver and add two NICs to it where one NIC is configured on the primary network accessible by the 20users and the other NIC accessible on the second network by me when i need to backup a computer that i recieve.
the primary network NIC detail is:
IP: 10.10.10.x
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 10.10.10.1
dns: 10.10.10.x
what should the second NIC be that is in the faxserver and why? need subnet explained a little.
