Once upon a time i had both windows 7 and Mountain Lion installed on my MBP. When Mavericks was released, i attempted to upgrade but it essentially nuked the boot sector of my Mountain Lion install.

Disk utility wont repair the disk (hardwise wise i know its fine) and none of the other terminal/recovery tricks seem to have restored the partition.

I would like to try and install Mavericks again, but i only have my windows install. I have the Mavericks dmg on hand, is there any way to make a bootable usb from my windows installation?

Cheers

Install Mavericks in virtual box or vmware or whatever one allows OS X to be installed. Copy dmg to virtual install, plug in usb, burn dmg to usb manually or with something like lion disk maker.
