heya all! i already got my specs and desicion... but what the hell, see what you lot can do with 5k :) ill be ordering in january, atm, im at 4.6k (no monitor or destop appliances - purely the tower and inners)

intel or amd... but may i remind you, i have researched over 10 months into the build, and have got everyhting perfect, so ill see if you can beat it :P

have fun :) (its harder than you think to get everything to work perfectly)

100% sure. i figure, when im not out and about being social, im on my pc.. been saving for 10-12months for it. gonna last me a long time.

Thats the thing, give it a year and it'll be old. Then you'll be pouring £££ back into it.

If i were you, spend half of the cash you've got, and save the other lot for something worthwhile.
 
nothing much i really want to be honest... nothing i could possibly spend the amount of money im going to spend on a pc that will be used as much as the pc... trust me, i have gone through these thoughts for a long time lol.

Put £1500+ into sound system
Another £1K+ into displays

That leaves you ~£3K on the PC. It'll be stupid buying a top-end rig if you're just using nasty PC speakers, and small screen.

Buy a UPS as well.

well i dont use speakers, only headsets, i have 3 21" flat panel CRT's, hardly need anything better.

Can i ask how old you are? I know most young people would buy a car or something with that sort of money :eek:
