Is there an app which will let me build a basic website on the iPad. I've got zero experience with HTML or any coding, so need something that's 'what you see is what you get'. The website is for my company and will contain basic content about the services we provide with maybe couple of pics. I know I can use a PC etc but over the last year I've got rid of my laptop and PC, everything I do including work related matters is solely based on my iPad now.

Hosting and domain name are sorted, just need to sit down and make the website.

Thanks in advance guys.

You'd probably need something web-based, but those things tend to come with their own hosting and adverts etc I think.

Bit of an odd setup - might just be easier to pay the local geek kid to do something for you.

I know it sounds odd and I could ask local geek but I don't want to be reliant on others to update and maintain the site. I've got relatives who are programmers and web developers but can't be asked chasing people up for a basic site. If it's not possible then they are my Plan B.

Web-based site creators are not necessarily going to be a good option. I've attempted to use Square Space in the past with an iPad, for example, and it was just infuriating both from a performance and a UI perspective.

Managing with an app is one thing. Designing, preparing, creating, and testing a new website is quite another. Something like WordPress will be fine to tweak existing content via the iPad, but in terms of getting it off the ground you're much better off using a real computer.
