I have a DAT72 tape I need to create a DD image of. I have a suitable HP DAT72 drive, I've installed it via a SCSI card and ran the HP diagnostics and all is good.

I am using W7 64 Bit. How do I create the DD image?

TIA.

DRZ, thanks for responding. DD is just 'Disk Dump', there must be an equivalent in Windows. I can use Linux if I have to, but the issue with DD and tapes is determining the block size - I have no clue how to do that.

I was hoping someone would know of a W7 utility that would just make a copy of the DAT tape for me - I can't believe Sys Admins don't have to do that from time to time.
