creating a homepage

A page with this in the header will redirect to the page you specify, so you could put an index file in a /forum folder.

Code:
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; url=http://www.atfreeforum.com/whatever">

im not sure as the forum was made with a free thing and im not compeltly sure how to edit the index yet (or access the edit page for that matter) does anyone else know?

hi i am the admin of the forum www.speedwayrc.com and have being asked to make them a homepage. The forum is hosted on www.atfreeforum.com. What i want to do is make the homepage www.speedwayrc.com and then have a link to the forum and have the forum address as something like www.speedwayrc.com/forum and then add other link aswell. So how can i do this
thanks :D

If you want the forum address to be speedwayrc.com/forum then you will have to move the forum to the speedwayrc domain. You will have to install a free form of forum on that site, otherwise you will have to link to atfreeforum from your homepage on speedwayrc.com.

i have only just become the admin and am still getting to grips with everything. I have just e-mailed the former admin and he should e-mail back soon. Again sorry for being a complete ****** but i havnt a clue what the above is

you can't.

you can't keep the forums where thay are AND change the address. the best you could do is link to them. how are you hosting your new website? can't you just install some new forums there and use the database from your current forums?

I already said that <slap>

He could try exporting his database from the freeforums place into a supported file type.. csv? and import that back into the ones he sets up on speedwayrc
