Hey guys, Im trying to put together a news letter, something along the lines of the OCUK newsletter, images and text. But how do i go about this? Do i build it in dreamweaver then copy and paste the code into an email? I dont know where to start. I have googled for info, but nothing out there is very helpful. I would prefer not to run off a template.

When I have done this, I create the code In DW *must use tables* I then open thunderbird and make a new mail, you have the option in there somewhere to select insert HTML or something along those lines.
All images must be inserted using http://www.******/images/imagename.jpg

Yep basic rules are:
- Use tables for layout.
- No external CSS, everything must be inline.
- Do not use CSS for layout as it won't work in some email clients
- Only use basic CSS styles for fonts and backgrounds. A list of whats supported is here - http://www.campaignmonitor.com/css/

cheers for the responses guys, I found Gmail doesnt take HTML, i tried to get thunderbird to work with gmail, enabled pop3 all that jazz but it wont accept my password when i KNOW its right. im gunna take a break from this before I smash my fists into a bloody pulp.
I'm pretty sure you can upload your email using mailchimp and send out a campaign from there. I've used them to customise a template and monitor a few campaigns, it's really great stuff.
