I can't get my new Vision W to work with RC2, but I like the OS, so I want to create a partition and install XP SP2 on it.

I went into disk management to shrink the volume, but it only allows me 73MB, even though I have 56G available, would Partitionmagic fare any better and would there be a dual booting problem doing things this way round?

Cheers

if you could somehow free up the space, the xp setup program would overwrite the vista bootloader and you won't be able to boot vista anymore. that's what would happen by default. maybe you can work around it using this....

i've heard it mentioned in a few vista threads for managing your boot options.

ideally when dual booting, you should always install the oldest os first - i don't know if that's an option for you - scrub your disk and start again with xp first...
