Hi

I am doing a new build with a Cosmos C700P and ASUS ROG strix X-470-F Gaming.

My problem is that I have two internal USB 3.1 Gen 1 cables and only One USB 3.1 Gen 1 header.
The manual states "1 X USB 3.1 Gen 1 Connector supports additional 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports"

Do I need a splitter?

Havnt done a new build in a few years so any help appreciated :)

Thanks

That header can only support two ports. If a suitable Internal USB hub existed you could expand it to support more, but I’ve never seen one. A simple wires only adapter cable isn’t going to do it.

If you want all four case ports to be USB 3 you’ll need a PCIe adapter card to plug one of the cables into.

You could also decide to run two of the ports as USB 2. Adapter cables do exist that’d allow that by using the USB 2 headers on the motherboard.
