creating a theme in windows 7

How can I make my own theme for Windows 7?

Not just changing the background and mouse pointers and saving it as a theme, but actually creating something that when applied changes the way everything looks.

When that is applied all the buttons change shape and look different, the start menu is completely different and all the windows and the taskbar are a lot flatter.

How can I create my own version of a theme that does that?

I use Rainmeter.
But I think you can use windows blinds as well.

I use rainmeter for a weather app, but I want to be able to create my own things.

download the uxtheme patcher to crack your theme dll, this will allow you to use custom themes. Then you can download themes from customizable.org and devianart.

well once you have uxtheme installed then you can open a theme that you have downloaded and modify it and learn how to make them. the themes are just collection of image files and dll files and other editable files.

Oh ok i thought that the .msstyle could just be opened similar to a zip file. But it can't.
