Hey, as per the title, I'm creating a PSN account for my 12 year old son as I'm getting him a ps4 with psvr for xmas. I'm making one now as I want to take advantage of the Black Friday sale, my questions are:

1) When I tried to make an account in his name and entered his real age it said that I had to link it to a 'family' account account and take control of it - is this the best way to go or will this be a pain in the neck?

2) Create him an account and just change his date of birth to say he's an adult?

I made him an account using option 1 but it seems he's tied to using my username? That wouldn't be ideal if that's the case but I could be wrong?

Thanks

If you ask me, it's too much faffing about. Put any old date of birth in but don't add any payment information, use prepaid cards instead.

I've gone ahead and setup the PSN account for him as an adult with a load of psvr games that I've grabbed in the sale, are you forced to 'make' an account when you first set up the ps4?

The reason I ask is I plan to give him the psvr late on the evening, (I like to spread the presents out across the day), if he log's into the PSN account I've made and see's all the psvr games it's going to give the game away.

Cheers

Yeah, you have to create an account. I think even the local and guest accounts will see any game that is installed.
