Creating partitions for windows 7

Hi, i've always used Acronis for creating partitions on my hard drive however when I recently upgraded to Windows 7, none of them appeared. Only the primary active partition that I had intended to install windows 7 to.

Do I have to do the partitions in Windows 7 itself?

Im sure I just used gparted when I did it

right click on the computer label, click manage
then click disc management,
