Had a N120 for a couple of months but never set a restore point during initial set up.
Can I set one up now please and will I still use the Samsung Recovery Solution III utility to do this.
Can you please talk me through it. Thanks.

I concede that I could Google to find out how to create a Restore Point in Xp.
What I was hoping - Mr. Sarky - was if I could still do it using Samsung Recovery Solution utility.
If I worded it wrongly then I apologise.

Well, what does it say in the manual about Samsung Recovery Solution and using it to creating restore points?

It's just a piece of backup software. Presumably it will allow to you create backups which you can then restore, as well as allowing you to reset the machine to its factory state using a hidden partition by pressing F4 or F11 or whatever during bootup.

Your 'backup & restore' options are endless. There's XP, SRS, and a multitude of 3rd party utililities such as Acronis or Macrium.

As stated previously, I'd suggest using Macrium Reflect - it works like a dream, works across partititions, can restore the MBR, and its free too.

The info that came with Samsung Recovery Solution III is very sketchy. restore point is only mentioned from initial setting. After that , as you say the only mention is back up.
I assume from that if I make a back up using that software, that in effect will provide a restore point without actually calling it one.
I shall look into the third party software you mentioned. Thanks for your help and advice.
