fed up of waiting for creative to get drivers for the audigy 4. i have an asus p5b mother board could i get surrond sound from the mother board instead?thanks

Creative are not very good at supplying drivers for vista. Just stick with the mobo sound and you will have no probs.

indeed, since going Vista I have been using Realtek onboard sound and the sound is actually far better to my ears, all the advantages of Creative cards such as EAX isn't used on Vista.

dont some creative cards support eax on 64bit vista though?

I have a Audigy 4 Pro and Vista x64 and it works perfect? Surround works in games, 5.1 etc (properly I mean!)

Use drivers from Creative USA, the ones on Euro website are out of date.

the only way i found to get them working was to use modified drivers. From china i think (youp somthing)
